Transpersonal communication

One learns when "studying" Vedanta that the Guru is you. One does not need to be in proximity to the Guru to communicate and share one's thoughts.  That Guru is inhabiting a dimension beyond space, time, individual, society. There are not boundaries in the world of the Guru, which you can personally visit whenever the mind is quiet.  Such was this day, in the early morning, in the deep woods of Smedley Park, behind an enormous shopping center.

Whiskey Creek, so named because of the moonshine that was produced in copious quantities on its pristine banks during the prohibition. Even now, its banks are pristine, the water flowing gracefully, and at time rushing crazily during a heavy rain. I spent much of the summer in Whiskey creek, using the water as a path, enjoying the deep still pools that can be found for my dogs to play in, chasing sticks and delighting in the water's coolness during the hot summer.

This morning the season has changed and there is a crispness in the air, the morning sun shining with splendor on the water below my meditation spot.

I wrote a letter to my Guru, thinking I might send it but as I wrote it I knew there was no need.  That huge presence is there, is eternal, boundless.
